How do I apply for veterans benefits?

If you know which VA benefit you would like to use, you can begin the application process on the VA’s website.

If you do not know which benefits you are eligible for, please contact the VA directly at: 1-888-GIBILL-1.

If you are eligible for more than one benefit but are unsure which is best to use, do NOT apply for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® without making that determination first. Once you apply for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® you make an irrevocable election and can no longer use the MGIB or other benefits.
