Students must carry professional liability insurance with the minimum coverage of 1 million/3 million while engaged in the practicum experience. This coverage is in addition to coverage provided by your employer and must be student coverage.

Education, Leadership & Management, Informatics and Doctor of Nursing Practice students must have RN student or RN insurance coverage.

Nurse practitioner students must show coverage as a “Nurse Practitioner Student”: Students may have to contact their insurance company and get this updated on the certificate. Some companies will provide a separate letter indicating that the student is covered as a nurse practitioner student.
