Walden University will release a refund if credit remains on your account after a payment, financial aid disbursement, or university credit has been applied. We are required by law to automatically send you any credit balance via your selected refund option. You have the option to have your refund released by direct deposit to a checking or savings account or by paper check. 

To update your refund delivery method

  1. Log into your myWalden portal.
  2. Locate the Finances section from the left navigation menu.
  3. Under the Finances section, click the Manage Your Refund link.

  1. Follow the prompts to select your preferred refund method.

Refunds are released 14 calendar days after your loan disbursement posts to your Walden account. You can find your financial aid disbursement date on the email sent by the Financial Aid Office or by going to your Financial Aid account.

 

To view your Financial Aid account

  1. Locate the Finances section from the left navigation menu in your myWalden portal.
  2. Under the Finances section, click the myFinAid link.

  1. From the Menu, click “Disbursements.”
