What is Exit Counseling?

To help students manage their student loans after graduation, federal regulations also require completion of exit loan counseling, available online at the Federal Student Aid: Exist Counseling website.

The timing to complete Exit Counseling is:

• Before graduation
• Before transferring to another institution
• Before withdrawal and leaves of absence
• When enrolled less than half time
