Your financial aid account will be affected in two ways if you fail a class.

·        You will receive an “F” grade which will affect your overall GPA.  Please remember that you must maintain a 3.0 GPA as a graduate student and a 2.0 GPA if you are an undergraduate student to be eligible to receive financial aid.

·        Your account will have to be reviewed for what is called, Return of Title IV Funding.  If a student fails a class which financial aid paid for, the participation percentage in the term will automatically be reviewed.  If the percentage is less than 60%, a portion of the financial aid that you received will have to be sent back to the lender.  This could create a balance on your account, for which you would be responsible for payment back to the school.

o   We are unable to pre-determine what this amount will be.

o   Please allow up to 45 days for your account to be reviewed to process this transaction.
