If a disability or long-term health issue creates a barrier to smooth access to Walden’s courses or programs, you may qualify for services.   The Director of Disability Services will review your case and determine eligibility.   The evidence you provide to demonstrate eligibility for services should include your own summation of how the health or disability issue impacts you in the academic setting as well as information from a medical professional if available.

We serve students with a wide range of disabilities including physical, sensory, and mobility impairments; but also including learning disabilities, psychiatric disabilities and systemic disabilities that impact stamina (like Cancer and Diabetes).   There are many students with disabilities who don’t need our services because they don’t confront any barrier to access.  Every person’s case is unique.  Please contact Disability Services to discuss any barriers you are experiencing and determine if services are appropriate.
