To cite a chapter of a book in APA format include the following in your reference entry:

Author, A. (Year). Title of the chapter. In A. Editor & B. Editor (Eds.), Title of the book (xx ed., Vol. xx, pp. xxx-xxx). Publisher.

For ebooks, include electronic retrieval information in the form of the DOI number or other URL if available. If you accessed the ebook in a common academic research database and it does not have a DOI number, simply leave out electronic retrieval information. The reference entry looks like the entry for the print version of the book.

If there is no edition or volume number, simply omit the information that you do not have.

Remember to use a hanging indent for each reference entry. See the Academic Skills Center's tutorials to learn how to create a hanging indent.
