Getting Started Checklist
Log in to Class
Access the new classroom by clicking on your course from your myWalden portal, just as you’ve done in the past.
Set Your Time Zone
Walden's academic headquarters are in Minnesota, so our default time zone is Central. If you live in another time zone, it's easy to change. Click the Account option from the Global Navigation menu, select Settings, then click Edit Settings.
Indicate Your Pronouns
In the same Account Settings area, you can easily update your pronouns so they appear after your name in discussion posts and the class cafe.
Add a Profile Picture
Adding a photo to your profile helps us all get to know each other better. Simply click on "Profile," hover over the image area, and click on the pencil icon when it appears. Then follow the prompts. You can also add a short bio!
Find Your First Assignment
From the Course Home page, click your first module or week and begin with the “At a Glance” to review the required reading, discussion, and assignments. As a reminder, submissions made before the first day of the term cannot be counted for credit.
Review Your Calendar
The course calendar will help you plan your term for success. Make note of the new due date (10:59 PM Central Time/11:59 PM Eastern Time) for Assignments. Reach out to your instructor if you have any concerns about meeting the new deadline.
