Having trouble? Below are some common difficulties you may have when trying to view your aid history.
Unverified FSA ID
Your full (legal) name, your Social Security Number (SSN), and your Date of Birth must match with the Social Security Administration. This process generally takes one to three days.
Conflicting Identifiers
The name, Social Security Number (SSN), and Date of Birth on your FSA ID must match exactly with what is listed with the Department of Education. You must contact your loan servicer to ensure that your information reported to NSLDS is correct. If you are not sure who your loan servicer is, you can find out by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) at 1-800-4FED-AID or (1-800-433-3243).
No Aid History
There may be no record of you in NSLDS or StudentAid.gov if and federal grants or loan have not been disbursed to you. Please note that StudentAid.gov cannot be used to view information about a loan or grant before it has been disbursed.
Even if you have received notification of your financial aid award from the school, the award might not appear until after the funds have been disbursed. Any corrections or updates to information on NSLDS may take up to 90 days to appear.
For additional assistance with managing your loans, contact your federal student loan servicer directly.
