The dots between the heading title and the page number in your Table of Contents are called dot leaders. The Academic Skills Center has an online tutorial on Dot Leaders with screenshots that walks you through the process of adding them to your document.
If you follow the instructions on that tutorial and still can’t get the dot leaders to appear correctly, I recommend reaching out to the Academic Skills Center’s Microsoft Word Support Team, who are the experts with Word here at Walden. You can e-mail them questions at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also make an online appointment with them at their Word Resources page.
More information is available on the Doctoral Capstone Form and Style webpage.
