How should I write numbers for doses in units of measurement?

APA 7, Section 6.32 notes that “numbers that immediately precede a unit of measurement” should be expressed as numerals.

Is a dose a unit of measurement? If it is, then it is correct to use numerals there. If it is not, you would spell out the numbers.
