The Blackboard Calendar has preloaded assignments and events from your current courses. You can see all of your courses at once, or choose to see only one course at a time. Due dates and due times for assessments exist in the Blackboard Calendar to help you know when important activities are due and to receive notifications of those due dates and times. There are some limitations. Please see the notes below, then refer to the information beyond about syncing the Blackboard calendar due dates and times to your Walden Calendar or own personal calendar.
- The Blackboard Calendar for Walden University is in U.S. Eastern Time. However, Walden University due date and time policy (see your Syllabus) states an 11:59 PM U.S. Mountain Time deadline for assessments (-2 hours from Eastern Time). Thus, due dates will show as 1:59 AM Eastern Time the next day on the Blackboard Course Calendar to account for time difference.
- There can be only one due date time in Blackboard per Assessment item, even for Discussions or Projects with multiple due dates. For example, for discussions that have a Post due date and time and Reply due date and time, only the post date is listed in the Blackboard Calendar. This date was chosen because it is essential to have the original post to start a discussion.
