Yes, the graduation application is necessary to confer your degree and mail your diploma or certificate. You should submit the graduation application within your final academic term. For doctoral students, you will complete the graduation application once you receive CAO approval, but prior to ProQuest publication. If you missed these timelines, you should still complete the graduation application.
For students in undergraduate or master’s degree programs, your graduation date will be the last day of the term in which you completed your last course. For doctoral students, your graduation date will be the last day of the term in which you receive Chief Academic Officer (CAO) approval.

Latin Honors are awarded to students graduating from an Undergraduate program with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 of higher: Cum Laude – 3.500-3.749; Magna cum Laude – 3.750-3.899; Summa cum Laude – 3.900 and above. Latin Honors are not awarded to students in Masters or Doctoral-level programs.
