How do I open datasets in SPSS?

When you open SPSS, you can select a recently opened file or “Open Another File” from the dialog box. 

SPSS allows you to have multiple files open at the same time. To open an additional file:

• Click “File,” “Open,” and “Data.” 
• Select the appropriate dataset from the “Open Data” dialogue box. 

SPSS can also open non-SPSS datasets, such as Excel and SAS files.
