Classrooms open to view 4 days prior to the start of a course, typically on the Thursday prior to the Monday start of class. This time period is considered the “Preview” period. Any work submitted during this timeframe will not count toward participation.

If you are added to a classroom after the class has opened for the Preview period, or after the term has started, you will be able to see the course listed in your Current Courses area but will not have access to the classroom itself for 12-24 hours.

If you experience challenges with accessing your classroom and you were not registered in the last 24 hours to the classroom, please contact the Customer Care Team for more assistance with accessing your classroom. Customer Care is available via phone, email, or the chat function on your myWalden portal.

Note: Classrooms for Academic Residencies typically open for the Preview period 3 weeks prior to the start of a residency.
