A running head is used in APA formatting. It is a shorter version of your title that appears in the header of your document.
A tutorial on how to insert a running head is available on our MS Word Resources Website on Headers, Footers and Running Heads.
Please note: Running heads are omitted in Walden’s doctoral capstones and KAMs, and Walden course papers no longer require a running head. A page number at the top right of each page will now suffice.
