The URR process is the quality assurance mechanism for capstone research at Walden University. The goal of URR is to facilitate quality student research through a supportive environment of committee members dedicated to a collaborative enterprise. While a single quality control check at the end of the research study is commonly employed by other universities, this approach can contribute to significant delay or confusion when substantive revisions are required. In contrast, the quality assurance approach employed in the URR distributes feedback across earlier points in the process to enable reviewers to identify issues that may require revision to a student’s research.
