When you are using a Library database, if you get the error “attempting to authenticate to a non-existent session”  this usually means your browser does not accept cookies. Here are some options to fix the "non-existent session" error:

  1. Change your browser settings to accept cookies.
The browser support or help page will have information on how to accept cookies. Here are instructions on how to accept cookies in the most common browsers.
Clear, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome
Firefox Support: Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them
Manage cookies and website data in Safari on Mac

Note: The links above will take you to a new, non-Walden website.

  2. Clear your browser's cache.
How do I clear the history, cookies, cache, and temporary internet files in my browser?

  3. Try a different browser.
If you see this error in Internet Explorer, you may also want to try an alternate browser, such as Firefox.
Go to the Firefox website to download the latest version of Firefox.

Note: The link above will take you to a new, non-Walden website.
