Use the Book search and select Author in the search drop-down to find books written by a particular author.

1.  From the Library home page, click Books in the middle of the page.

2.  Type the author's name in the search box, in this format: last name, first name

Freud, Sigmund

3. Click the search button.

Tip: This initial search bring up books about the person or written by the person.

4. Change the drop-down menu on the left from Keyword to :

Author

5. Click search.

Here is an image of the dropdown menu where you can select author:

Note: in the legacy book search, the search box looks a little different, but you still select Author, like this image.

6.  You will now see books from our various book databases by this author. Click on Find@Walden or Full Text to access the book.

Search Tip: you do not have to know the first name of the author to do a search.
