Internet Service Providers (ISPs) connect a computer to the Internet. (Examples: AOL, Verizon, Roadrunner, Comcast, Cox, Time Warner, EarthLink, etc.).
All classroom activity takes place via the Internet, so it is very important that students have reliable Internet access. Broadband is recommended for students, but not required. DSL and dial-up may not provide enough speed to upload/download video and large documents. Students living in certain areas (international/rural) may not have access to faster internet connections.
