Graduate Writing I and II help you build scholarly writing skills early in your program, so that you are prepared for writing your doctoral capstone. The skills you learn in these courses (such as critical reading, paraphrasing, and paragraph organization) are directly applicable to your other coursework and to your capstone. Even if you feel your writing skills are already strong, the courses will expose you to Writing Center resources, an expert writing instructor, and a peer writing community for support.
