The gold bordered search box on each subject research page is a search tool that looks at many (but not all) subject-related databases at one time.

Note: You can find your subject research page by clicking on the Research by Subject button and choosing your subject area (i.e. Nursing, Education, etc).

The subject search box does not search across ALL Walden Library databases.

This search tool is helpful to get a broad overview of a topic, to see how much research has been done on a topic, or to be able to quickly find a few research articles on a topic.

The search is most helpful for weekly assignments, discussion posts, and other course work, or for exploratory research for a doctoral topic. You will want to do a more comprehensive review of the literature as you progress through the doctoral capstone process.

If you are working on a literature review for a doctoral dissertation or study, refer to the Library Guide to Capstone Literature Reviews for more information on choosing databases appropriate for your topic.
