A preponderance of the research studies being produced originate in and concern western populations.
It is important to keep this in mind when considering research topics, as there may or may not be research, data, or statistics for a specific country or city.
We suggest first doing searches on your topic in general, without limiting to a specific country. While there might not be specific studies on your topic in your country, you will be able to use studies conducted elsewhere to back up your arguments in your research.
If you are considering a research topic and are unsure of where to look for scholarly materials, or you are unsure of the existence of research on a particular topic, please reach out to the Library for help.
The Walden Library is here to assist you in making recommendations for possible avenues of research.
